What this trial studies

CATNAP is a patient registry aimed at enhancing the understanding of narcolepsy's natural history in pediatric patients. The registry collects descriptive statistics on disease characteristics from participants under 18 years old who have a confirmed diagnosis of narcolepsy. It operates across 16 active clinical sites and includes a virtual site to facilitate participation from anywhere in the United States. Participants are required to complete an informed consent form and engage in the registry in English.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are children and adolescents under 18 years old with a physician-confirmed diagnosis of narcolepsy.

Not a fit: Patients aged 18 years or older or those unable to complete the informed consent form will not benefit from this registry.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could lead to improved understanding and management of narcolepsy in children and adolescents.

How similar studies have performed: While this registry approach is not novel, similar studies have successfully contributed to understanding chronic conditions in pediatric populations.
