What this trial studies

This study aims to develop and test a set of implementation strategies called SUPPORTS, designed to enhance the sustained delivery of evidence-based mental health programs for children who have experienced trauma. By addressing provider burnout and improving the organizational climate, the study seeks to reduce turnover among therapists delivering Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). The research will involve therapists who have recently delivered TF-CBT and children aged 3-18 receiving this therapy. The ultimate goal is to improve access to and the effectiveness of mental health services for children in need.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include therapists who have delivered TF-CBT in the past 6 months and children aged 3-18 receiving this therapy.

Not a fit: Patients who may not benefit from this study include therapists employed at their current agency for less than 6 months and children younger than 3 or older than 18 years.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved mental health outcomes for children exposed to trauma by ensuring consistent access to effective therapeutic interventions.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in implementing strategies to reduce provider burnout and improve service delivery, making this approach promising yet still innovative.
