Real-world registry of renal denervation for adults with high blood pressure in France
FRiEND Registry: Real Life Data From Hypertensive Patients Treated With Renal Denervation in Current Practice in France- French RENal Denervation Registry
This registry will collect information from adults in France who have had renal denervation to see if it controls high blood pressure and to track safety.

What this trial studies
Coordinated by Grenoble University Hospital, this national registry aims to compile exhaustive data on patients treated with renal denervation in France, including procedures performed since January 2010 and those performed prospectively after March 2025. The registry accepts all catheter types and includes cases from routine care, transitional reimbursement programs, industry registries, and randomized trials. Data collected will include patient demographics, procedural details, blood pressure outcomes, medications, and adverse events during follow-up to characterize effectiveness and safety in routine practice. The goal is to describe who receives the procedure in France and how it performs across different devices and care settings.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Adults (over 18) with hypertension treated with renal denervation in France, including patients treated in the past or those who will undergo the procedure, are eligible.
Not a fit: Patients who were not offered renal denervation, who refuse data collection, or who were treated outside France are unlikely to benefit from participating in this registry.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the registry could clarify which patients benefit most from renal denervation, improve safety understanding, and inform clinical and reimbursement decisions in France.
How similar studies have performed: Randomized trials have shown that renal denervation can lower blood pressure and current guidelines include the technique, but comprehensive national real-world registries remain relatively limited.
Eligibility criteria
Show full inclusion / exclusion criteria
Inclusion Criteria: * Adult ( \> 18 years old) hypertensive patients treated with RDN in France whatever the catheter and the indication. This might include retrospective data for patient already treated with RDN in the past. Exclusion Criteria: * RDN not proposed to the patient, patient opposing the collection and use of his/her data for research purposes.
