What this trial studies

This observational study gathers real-world data from multiple centers in China to evaluate the effectiveness of various psoriasis treatments chosen by patients themselves, including phototherapy, traditional systemic therapy, and biologics. Patients diagnosed with psoriasis by dermatologists will participate, and their treatment outcomes will be monitored using a mobile application called 'Psoriasis New World'. The primary outcome is the percentage of patients achieving a complete reduction in psoriasis severity, measured by the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) and other assessment tools. The study aims to provide insights into treatment effectiveness in a real-world setting without imposing specific treatment protocols.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients diagnosed with psoriasis by a dermatologist who are seeking treatment options.

Not a fit: Patients who do not have a diagnosis of psoriasis or those who are not seeking treatment will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could help identify the most effective psoriasis treatments in real-world settings, leading to improved patient outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in evaluating real-world treatment effectiveness for psoriasis, indicating that this approach is both relevant and valuable.
