What this trial studies
IMPLEMENT aims to develop and establish a sustainable access structure for quality-assured oncological exercise therapy (qOET) in Germany over three years. The study involves three phases: first, assessing existing implementation structures and barriers; second, implementing specific measures for different target groups and regions; and third, evaluating the effectiveness of these measures using a mixed-methods approach. The goal is to enhance patient access to qOET and improve the overall quality of exercise therapy for cancer patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are cancer patients and healthcare providers involved in their treatment and counseling.
Not a fit: Patients with psychological or physical limitations that prevent participation in exercise therapy may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this initiative could significantly improve the quality of life and recovery outcomes for cancer patients through enhanced access to structured exercise therapy.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in implementing exercise therapy for cancer patients, indicating that this approach has potential for positive outcomes.
