What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a health education intervention designed to promote healthy lifestyles among undergraduate female students suffering from obesity at Northern Border University in Saudi Arabia. A total of 250 participants aged 18-24 will be randomly assigned to either an intervention group, which will receive six weeks of health education sessions, or a control group that will continue with their regular activities. The study will assess changes in body composition and knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to obesity and physical activity through various measurements and questionnaires at baseline, post-intervention, and three months later. Data analysis will utilize SPSS software and Generalized Estimating Equations to evaluate the intervention's impact.

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are female undergraduate students aged 18-24 in Saudi Arabia with a BMI greater than 25.

Inclusion Criteria: * Female undergraduate students. * Saudi students. * Aged between 18-24 years. * Categorized with a BMI greater than 25. Exclusion Criteria: * Pregnant students * Students with diseases on treatment such as asthma, diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, fractures, cirrhosis, or other diseases. * Students with any medical condition who not allowed to do physical activity.
