What this trial studies

This program focuses on understanding and addressing male infertility issues that arise following spinal cord injuries. It aims to investigate the factors contributing to infertility, such as erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory dysfunction, and semen abnormalities. The study includes men with spinal cord injuries and healthy control subjects to compare fertility parameters. Through observational methods, the program seeks to gather data that could lead to improved fertility treatments for affected individuals.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this program are men over the age of 18 who have sustained a spinal cord injury.

Not a fit: Patients who are women or those without a spinal cord injury may not receive any benefit from this program.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this program could provide insights and potential treatments to help men with spinal cord injuries father children.

How similar studies have performed: While there may be limited studies specifically targeting male fertility post-spinal cord injury, similar approaches in fertility research have shown promise in improving outcomes.
