What this trial studies
This project conducts a multicenter retrospective study to evaluate the effectiveness of PET-CT imaging in predicting satisfactory tumor reduction in patients with advanced ovarian cancer. The study aims to correlate molecular biological characteristics with clinical features through high-throughput sequencing and radiomics. By addressing the limitations of current evaluation methods, the research seeks to improve the accuracy of predicting surgical outcomes for ovarian cancer patients. The findings could enhance treatment planning and patient prognosis.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients diagnosed with epithelial ovarian cancer who have undergone primary debulking surgery and have a postoperative pathological staging of FIGO stage IIB or above.
Not a fit: Patients with non-epithelial ovarian cancer, those who underwent fertility-preserving or palliative surgeries, or those with concurrent malignant tumors may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could significantly improve the accuracy of predicting surgical outcomes for patients with advanced ovarian cancer, leading to better treatment decisions.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promising results using PET-CT imaging for predicting surgical outcomes in ovarian cancer, indicating a potential for success in this approach.
