What this trial studies

This randomized control trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of physiotherapy interventions, specifically aerobic exercise and biofeedback training, on migraine symptoms among university students at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. The study will compare the impact of these interventions on resting-state brainwaves, sleep quality, and overall quality of life. Participants will engage in aerobic exercises such as walking and jogging, with the goal of establishing a specific protocol for non-drug treatments of migraines. The trial seeks to provide evidence for a multidisciplinary approach to managing migraine symptoms.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are undergraduate and postgraduate students from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman who experience migraine symptoms.

Not a fit: Patients with secondary headaches, high scores on the visual aura rating scale, or those taking specific medications for neurological or cardiorespiratory conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could offer a non-pharmacological treatment option that significantly alleviates migraine symptoms for patients.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown positive outcomes for aerobic exercise in reducing migraine symptoms, suggesting that this approach may be effective.
