Physical therapy for non-arthritic hip and groin pain
Assessment of a Categorized Physical Therapy Protocol for Non-arthritic Hip and Groin Pain: a Randomized Controlled Study
This study is testing a new physical therapy program to see if it can help people aged 18-60 with hip and groin pain that isn't caused by arthritis.

What this trial studies
This study evaluates the effectiveness of a categorized physical therapy protocol specifically designed for patients suffering from non-arthritic hip and groin pain. It aims to fill a gap in existing literature by assessing the impact of a matrix-based standard of care therapy on this patient population. The study will include new patients aged 18-60 presenting with hip impingement and related pain, while excluding those with arthritic conditions or other complicating factors. The goal is to provide a structured approach to physical therapy that could improve patient outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are new patients aged 18-60 with non-arthritic hip impingement or groin pain.
Not a fit: Patients with arthritic hip pain, those outside the age range, or individuals with certain medical histories will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more effective treatment protocols for individuals suffering from non-arthritic hip and groin pain.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited research on non-arthritic hip pain treatment, studies on osteoarthritis have shown some success with standardized physical therapy approaches, making this a novel exploration.
