What this trial studies
This observational study investigates the long-term effects of a personalized physical activity program on exercise capacity and quality of life in patients with stable cardiovascular disease. Participants will engage in a home training program that includes moderate-intensity aerobic activity for at least 30-60 minutes, 3-4 days a week. The study also evaluates the prognostic value of cardiovascular function through a walking test, focusing on survival, hospitalization, and medical costs. The program addresses clinical, socio-economic, and behavioral aspects, along with psychological support and risk factor management.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients with a history of cardiovascular events who are stable and able to participate in a physical activity program.
Not a fit: Patients with severe heart conditions, such as chronic heart failure or significant valvular disease, may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the exercise capacity and quality of life for patients with cardiovascular diseases.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown that personalized exercise programs can lead to meaningful improvements in cardiovascular health, suggesting this approach is promising.
