What this trial studies
This project aims to implement a Patient Navigation Model to enhance access to primary cancer prevention services for individuals with mental ill-health in Europe. It addresses the systemic barriers these individuals face in accessing quality healthcare, which contributes to higher cancer morbidity and mortality rates. The intervention focuses on empowering patients through social support and optimizing healthcare pathways to improve health outcomes. By co-adapting this evidence-based model, the project seeks to provide tailored support for this underserved population.

Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals aged 18 and older diagnosed with one or more mental disorders or healthcare professionals involved in their care.
Not a fit: Patients who are unable to give consent due to diminished capacity or who do not provide consent will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve cancer prevention and health outcomes for individuals with mental health conditions.
