What this trial studies

This is a single-center observational review of women in couples who began at least one ovarian stimulation cycle for IVF with preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) at the Antoine Béclère Paris PGD Center and who had no live birth from that care. Investigators will use clinical records and follow-up information to document reproductive outcomes, decisions made after PGD failure, and related medical histories for cases with no further PGD procedures at the center after December 31, 2022. The study excludes cases involving gamete donation and those with a live-born child resulting from PGD at the center. Results will describe patterns of subsequent care and outcomes among this specific patient group.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Women who underwent at least one ovarian stimulation cycle for IVF with PGD at the Antoine Béclère center, had no subsequent PGD procedures at the center after December 31, 2022, have no live-born child from PGD there, and who did not object to participation are eligible.

Not a fit: Patients who had a live-born child from PGD at the center, whose PGD involved gamete donation, or who received PGD care elsewhere or continued PGD at this center after December 31, 2022 are unlikely to benefit from this study's findings.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, the findings could give clearer, evidence-based guidance to couples and clinicians about likely reproductive paths and options after unsuccessful PGD.

How similar studies have performed: Similar retrospective and single-center analyses of outcomes after ART/PGT exist but are relatively limited and show variable results depending on population and center practices.
