What this trial studies
This study investigates the feasibility of the AMOR program, designed for pregnant women and new mothers with ADHD, focusing on adherence, satisfaction, and potential negative effects. Participants will engage with 10 podcasts and attend 10 online guided sessions over 10 weeks. The program, developed by the Danish ADHD Association in collaboration with researchers, aims to address the unique challenges faced by women with ADHD during pregnancy and postpartum. Data will be collected through questionnaires and focus group interviews to evaluate short-term clinical outcomes related to ADHD symptoms, stress, anxiety, and quality of life.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are pregnant women or new mothers diagnosed with ADHD who are over 18 years old and can communicate in Danish.
Not a fit: Patients with severe mental disorders or significant anxiety or depression scores may not benefit from this program.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could provide essential support and resources to improve the mental health and quality of life for pregnant women and new mothers with ADHD.
How similar studies have performed: While similar online interventions have shown promise, this specific approach targeting ADHD in the perinatal period is relatively novel.
