What this trial studies
This study aims to adapt the ATTACH™ parenting program for online delivery to support parents dealing with depression, addiction, domestic violence, and poverty, particularly in the context of challenges posed by COVID-19. The program has previously been effective in in-person formats and will now be co-designed with mothers and health-service providers to create a user-friendly web and mobile interface. The study will involve phases of user engagement, prototyping, and software development to ensure the program meets the needs of families. The goal is to provide a safe and accessible resource for vulnerable families to improve their mental health and parenting skills.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are parents with children aged between birth and 32 months who are willing to participate in the ATTACH™ program.
Not a fit: Patients who do not have children within the specified age range or are not facing the targeted stressors may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could provide essential support to parents, improving their mental health and parenting skills while enhancing their children's development.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown success with the in-person ATTACH™ program, indicating a strong foundation for this online adaptation.
