What this trial studies

This observational study aims to assess the prevalence of Wilms tumors among pediatric cancers at Shefa Al-Orman Children Cancer Hospital from June 2020 to June 2024. It will evaluate the outcomes of patients treated according to the SIOP Umbrella protocol and analyze treatment-related complications using the CTCAE Version 5.0 criteria. Data will be collected through patient history, physical examinations, and laboratory studies to provide a comprehensive understanding of Wilms tumors in this population.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include children and young adolescents under 18 years old who are admitted and treated at Shefa Al-Orman Children Cancer Hospital during the study period.

Not a fit: Patients older than 18 years, those who die before starting chemotherapy, or those with non-Wilms renal tumors will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance understanding of Wilms tumors and improve treatment protocols for affected children.

How similar studies have performed: While similar studies have been conducted, this specific observational approach focusing on Wilms tumors in this region is relatively novel.
