What this trial studies

This observational registry continues the work of the CARRA Registry, which collects data on pediatric patients with rheumatic diseases to support future research. It aims to answer critical questions regarding the safety and effectiveness of various therapeutics used in treating these conditions. The registry engages families and communities to ensure comprehensive participation and data collection across multiple sites. The Duke Clinical Research Institute coordinates the registry, facilitating high-quality clinical and translational research.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are children diagnosed with rheumatic diseases before the age of 16 for juvenile idiopathic arthritis or before 19 for other rheumatic diseases.

Not a fit: Patients over the age of 21 at the time of enrollment will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could enhance understanding of pediatric rheumatic diseases and improve treatment safety and efficacy.

How similar studies have performed: Other observational registries in pediatric rheumatology have shown success in advancing research and improving treatment outcomes.
