What this trial studies
This observational study aims to analyze the clinical data of patients admitted to the infectious diseases department due to fever. It will focus on understanding the epidemiological characteristics, etiology, and prognosis of these patients. Researchers will collect various clinical examination indexes and biological samples to identify potential biochemical indicators that could help predict the diagnosis and prognosis of both infectious and non-infectious fever. The study will not involve any additional interventions beyond standard care, and informed consent will be obtained from all participants.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients admitted to the infectious diseases department with fever.
Not a fit: Patients who refuse to sign informed consent will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved diagnostic and prognostic models for patients with fever, enhancing patient care.
How similar studies have performed: While observational studies on fever are common, this specific approach to identifying predictive indicators is relatively novel.
