New cardiac rehabilitation treatment for ischemic heart disease

A New Cardiac Rehabilitation Treatment in the Application of Ischemic Heart Disease: a Prospective, Randomized Controlled Clinical Study

NA · Shanghai 10th People's Hospital · NCT06681506

What this trial studies

This study investigates the effectiveness of a novel cardiac rehabilitation therapy that includes early respiratory rehabilitation, exercise therapy, and extracorporeal shock wave treatment for patients with ischemic heart disease. It compares this new approach to traditional cardiac rehabilitation methods, focusing on patient compliance and outcomes. Participants will receive either the new therapy combined with standard drug treatment or traditional rehabilitation methods over a treatment period of 1 to 3 months, followed by a 6-month evaluation of their heart health.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 to 85 diagnosed with ischemic heart disease who require cardiac rehabilitation.

Not a fit: Patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome, uncontrolled pulmonary infections, or severe arrhythmias may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this treatment could significantly improve recovery and quality of life for patients with ischemic heart disease.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise with similar rehabilitation approaches, but this specific combination of therapies is relatively novel.
