What this trial studies

This multicenter randomized controlled trial evaluates a novel strategy in IVF-ICSI practices that prioritizes cryopreservation of embryos. Participants will undergo a process where embryos are frozen first, and fresh embryo transfer is only performed if at least one set of embryos of the same quality is available for freezing. The study will take place at five fertility centers in Egypt, ensuring a diverse participant pool. All participants will provide informed consent and the study will adhere to ethical guidelines.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals undergoing IVF/ICSI with a good number of embryos available for cryopreservation.

Not a fit: Patients with low-quality embryos, low ovarian reserve, or a low number of embryos may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could improve the chances of successful pregnancies for patients undergoing IVF-ICSI.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have explored embryo freezing strategies, but this specific approach may offer novel insights into optimizing IVF-ICSI outcomes.
