What this trial studies
This observational study aims to establish a nationwide cohort of patients diagnosed with IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) across multiple centers in China. Patients meeting the 2011 diagnostic criteria for IgG4-RD will be enrolled, and their clinical manifestations, demographic features, laboratory results, and treatment outcomes will be systematically recorded in an online database. The study seeks to enhance understanding of the disease's characteristics and improve patient management through comprehensive data collection and analysis.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals diagnosed with definite, probable, or possible IgG4-RD according to the 2011 criteria.
Not a fit: Patients with malignancies or other autoimmune diseases that mimic IgG4-RD will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could lead to improved diagnosis and treatment strategies for patients with IgG4-related disease.
How similar studies have performed: While this approach is systematic and comprehensive, similar registries have shown success in enhancing understanding of rare diseases, indicating potential for meaningful insights.
