What this trial studies

The China Registry of Hepatitis B is an observational registry that collects data on patients with chronic Hepatitis B from various hospitals across mainland China. Launched in June 2012, it records patient demographics, medical history, laboratory results, and treatment information for individuals who have been HBsAg-positive for more than six months. Patients are followed up every three to six months to monitor their clinical progress and treatment outcomes. This registry aims to enhance understanding and management of chronic Hepatitis B in the population.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this registry are individuals who have been HBsAg-positive for over six months, regardless of their treatment history or presence of cirrhosis.

Not a fit: Patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) may not benefit from this registry as their treatment primarily relies on surgical and interventional therapies rather than antiviral therapy.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could improve the management and treatment outcomes for patients with chronic Hepatitis B.

How similar studies have performed: Other similar registries have shown success in improving patient outcomes and understanding of chronic conditions, indicating that this approach is promising.
