What this trial studies
This program focuses on adapting a pre-existing mobile fitness app to meet the needs of childhood cancer survivors aged 10 to 30 who have undergone anthracycline therapy. Using a behavioral theory-driven approach, specifically Social Cognitive Theory, the study aims to enhance the app's usability and effectiveness through the Technology Assessment Model. The research will involve usability testing to ensure the app is both useful and easy to use for its target audience, with future studies planned to assess its feasibility and impact on physical activity levels.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are children, adolescents, and young adults aged 10 to 30 who have survived pediatric cancer and received anthracycline therapy.
Not a fit: Patients who have not been treated with anthracycline therapy or who are non-English speaking may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this app could significantly improve physical activity levels and overall health outcomes for childhood cancer survivors.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies focusing on physical activity in cancer survivors, this specific approach using a tailored mobile app is relatively novel.
