What this trial studies
This pilot study aims to develop a mindfulness-based intervention (MBI) program to reduce stress and burnout while increasing a sense of belonging among faculty and staff at the University of New Mexico College of Nursing. The study will evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of MBIs, such as meditation and yoga, through participant interviews and adherence rates. Additionally, it will assess the preliminary effects of these interventions on psychosocial outcomes like stress and burnout, as well as physiological outcomes measured by heart rate variability (HRV). The study will involve 60 participants from the College of Nursing over a six-week period.
