What this trial studies
This study aims to develop and assess a mindfulness-based course specifically designed for nursing students. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design, the research will compare the psychological wellbeing and nursing competencies of students who enroll in the course against those who do not. Data will be collected at multiple time points, including before and after the course and during nursing practicums. The course will be structured using the ADDIE model and will focus on principles of Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction.

Inclusion Criteria: * Nursing students enrolled at the participating university * Aged 18 years or older * Willing to participate in the study * Able to provide written informed consent * Enrolled in the elective course "Mindfulness and Happiness" for assignment to the experimental group, or not enrolled in the course for assignment to the comparison group Exclusion Criteria: * Younger than 18 years * Unwilling or unable to provide informed consent
