What this trial studies
An observational survey will examine whether higher eating awareness is associated with more sustainable food choices among university students. Participants aged 18–25 who live in Ankara will complete questionnaires about mindful eating, dietary habits, and sustainability attitudes. The study excludes individuals with communication problems or psychological disorders and does not involve any experimental treatment. Findings are intended to inform campus education and promotion efforts to encourage healthier, more environmentally friendly eating.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal participants are university students aged 18–25 who reside in Ankara, can communicate without difficulty, volunteer to participate, and do not have a psychological disorder.
Not a fit: People under 18 or over 25, those living outside Ankara, individuals with communication difficulties or psychological disorders, or anyone unwilling to complete surveys are unlikely to benefit from participation.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the findings could help design programs that encourage students to choose foods that are both healthier and more environmentally friendly.
How similar studies have performed: Previous research shows mindful eating can improve food choices and reduce waste, but direct links to sustainable eating habits are not yet well established.
