What this trial studies

This observational study evaluates imaging methods to monitor neural and electrical activity in the brain, aiming to enhance clinical diagnosis of malignant glioma. The study focuses on optimizing MRI pulse sequences and developing models that depict the brain's electrical properties, such as resistivity and current. It also seeks to correlate these MRI models with existing imaging techniques and clinical features to improve understanding of neural integrity and function. Participants will complete a survey and undergo MRI scans as part of the study.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include healthy volunteers and patients who have undergone surgical biopsy or resection for suspected or known glioma.

Not a fit: Patients who are healthy volunteers but unable to undergo MRI will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved diagnostic methods for malignant glioma, enhancing patient outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using advanced MRI techniques for brain imaging, suggesting potential success for this approach.
