What this trial studies

This observational study aims to assess the long-lasting effects of post-acute rehabilitation on patients who have experienced traumatic brain injury (TBI) or stroke. A total of 240 participants will be evaluated, including 120 patients who underwent comprehensive rehabilitation and 120 matched subjects who received limited or no rehabilitation. The study will follow participants for up to 10 years, with assessments conducted through in-person visits and phone interviews to determine improvements in vocational status, living conditions, quality of life, and cognitive function. The research will also explore how the duration and type of rehabilitation impact long-term outcomes.
