What this trial studies
This study aims to enroll forty obese males suffering from subjective tinnitus and erectile dysfunction. Participants will be divided into two groups, with both groups following a low-calorie diet for 12 weeks. Group I will also engage in supervised aerobic walking training for 45 minutes, three times a week, over the same period. The goal is to assess the impact of these lifestyle changes on their conditions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are obese males aged 18 and older with a BMI between 30 and 40, experiencing subjective tinnitus and erectile dysfunction for at least 24 weeks.
Not a fit: Patients with pre-existing cardiac, respiratory, hepatic, musculoskeletal diseases, or diabetes may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could improve sexual function and reduce tinnitus symptoms in obese males.
How similar studies have performed: While lifestyle interventions have shown promise in related areas, this specific combination of interventions for this demographic is relatively novel.
