Impact of Different Treatment Strategies on the Prognosis of Ovarian Metastatic Colorectal Cancer Patients: a Prospective, Multi-center, Real-world Study

What this trial studies
This prospective, multi-center, real-world study aims to evaluate the impact of various treatment strategies on patients with ovarian metastatic colorectal cancer. It will collect and analyze data from patients who meet specific inclusion criteria and have provided informed consent. The study will focus on comparing systemic chemotherapy combined with oophorectomy or other local treatments against chemotherapy alone, assessing their effects on patient prognosis and survival outcomes in a real-world setting.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women aged 18 and older with histologically confirmed colorectal adenocarcinoma and ovarian metastasis.
Not a fit: Patients who do not have confirmed ovarian metastatic colorectal cancer or those with significant medical or psychological disorders may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide insights into the most effective treatment strategies for ovarian metastatic colorectal cancer, potentially improving patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on colorectal cancer treatments, this specific approach focusing on ovarian metastasis is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
