What this trial studies
This observational study aims to enhance the understanding of how the human microbiome influences health and disease, particularly focusing on conditions like cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Participants over the age of 40 will be recruited to contribute to a biorepository that will support future research on human genetics and the microbiome. The study will collect data and samples to analyze the relationship between microbiome composition and various health outcomes. It is conducted by NYU Langone Health in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute.
