What this trial studies

This observational study aims to explore the biomechanical properties of the thoracolumbar fascia and pain-related parameters in young adults suffering from non-specific chronic low back pain. It will involve 50 participants, divided into those with chronic low back pain and a control group without pain. Assessments will include subjective pain intensity, pressure pain threshold, and pain sensitivity, using various measurement tools. Statistical analysis will be performed to determine the significance of the findings.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are young adults experiencing chronic low back pain for more than three months.

Not a fit: Patients with orthopedic, neurological, or systemic diseases will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance understanding of the role of fascia in chronic low back pain, potentially leading to improved treatment strategies.

How similar studies have performed: While there is growing interest in the role of fascia in chronic pain, this specific approach appears to be novel and untested.
