What this trial studies

This interventional study aims to assess the impact of physical activity on functional limitations and disabilities in adults aged 40 and older living with HIV in Côte d'Ivoire. It combines quantitative evaluations, including cognitive and functional assessments, with qualitative interviews to explore cultural perceptions of physical activity. The study will involve 300 participants living with HIV and a reference group of 150 adults without HIV, all from the Abobo district of Abidjan. The goal is to document the frequency and nature of HIV-related disabilities and to understand factors influencing physical activity engagement.
