This program will try placing Clinical Trials Navigators at cancer centres across Canada to help people with cancer find and join appropriate clinical trials.

What this trial studies
The intervention embeds Clinical Trials Navigators (CTNs) and an associated educational program into cancer centres and rolls them out sequentially to twenty sites over a 12-month period. Each centre will add an embedded CTN and report referral and enrollment metrics, with centres serving as their own baseline before the CTN is introduced. The primary outcome is an increase in trial referral/enrollment rates measured from centre accrual reports and referral logs. The approach is an implementation rollout building on a Windsor pilot that demonstrated an 8% accrual increase.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are people living with cancer who receive care at participating Canadian cancer centres and are open to considering clinical trial participation.
Not a fit: Patients cared for outside participating centres or those who do not want to consider clinical trials are unlikely to benefit from this program.
