What this trial studies
This intervention focuses on enhancing the mental wellbeing of university students through an online platform called LifeHack, which offers guided eHealth interventions based on cognitive behavioral therapy. The program consists of 13 modules that address themes such as mood management, productivity, self-worth, and relationships. The effectiveness of LifeHack will be evaluated in a randomized controlled trial to determine its impact on mental wellbeing and related outcomes among students. The study aims to personalize the intervention to reduce dropout rates and improve engagement.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are university students aged 16 and older who are experiencing moderate mental health issues and are fluent in Dutch and/or English.
Not a fit: Patients with optimal mental wellbeing or those who do not meet the inclusion criteria may not benefit from this study.

Eligibility criteria

Inclusion Criteria: * Being fluent in Dutch and/or English * Being enrolled as a student at one of the 9 participating universities * Being 16 years of age or older * Having access to a PC or mobile device with internet access * Provide informed consent before participation * Score of 50 or lower on the MHC-SF. This is 1 SD above the mean baseline score of participants of LifeHack. This inclusion criterion ensures no students with optimal mental wellbeing are included because they will not be able to show any change.
