What this trial studies

This study aims to adapt the Optimal Health Program (OHP), a comprehensive psychosocial and mental health support program, for young individuals aged 16-29 who are at clinical high risk for developing psychosis. The intervention will be delivered over a 12-week period, focusing on enhancing resiliency, reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety, and improving overall functioning. The study will evaluate the acceptability and feasibility of the OHP, as well as its preliminary efficacy through a single-arm exploratory clinical trial. Participants will complete assessments at the beginning and end of the intervention to measure outcomes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 16-29 who meet the criteria for clinical high risk for psychosis.

Not a fit: Patients with a diagnosed psychotic disorder or severe developmental disorders may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve mental health outcomes and functioning for young people at risk of psychosis.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success with psychosocial interventions for mental health, making this approach promising yet still exploratory.
