What this trial studies
This study focuses on the effects of a mental health app designed to enhance emotional well-being among Hispanic immigrants in the U.S. who are experiencing psychological distress. Participants will receive access to the app for two months, with options for direct incentives and lottery incentives to encourage engagement. The primary goal is to assess improvements in psychological well-being as measured by participants' responses. The study aims to provide a scalable intervention that can be easily implemented within this community.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are Hispanic immigrants in the U.S. who have lived here for less than 10 years, are over 18, and are experiencing psychological distress.
Not a fit: Patients who are not of Hispanic origin, have a graduate degree, or do not have access to a smartphone may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve the mental health and emotional well-being of Hispanic immigrants facing psychological challenges.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited information on similar studies, the approach of using mobile health interventions for mental health support has shown promise in various populations.
