What this trial studies

This study focuses on enhancing measurement-based care (MBC) in community mental health clinics in Washington state by collaborating with clinic staff to identify barriers to effective implementation. The research team will conduct ethnographic assessments, including observations and interviews, to gather insights on current practices and challenges. Following this, they will develop tailored strategies to improve the use of questionnaires for evaluating clinical outcomes. The study aims to co-create actionable plans with clinic staff to optimize MBC for youth with mental health conditions.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include youth aged 13-17 receiving treatment at participating community mental health clinics and clinic staff aged 21 and older involved in the implementation of cognitive behavioral therapy.

Not a fit: Patients who are suicidal, psychotic, or unable to participate cognitively in measurement-based care will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved mental health outcomes for youth by ensuring more effective and consistent evaluation of treatment progress.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in implementing measurement-based care in various settings, suggesting that this approach may yield positive results.
