What this trial studies

This project aims to develop, test, and evaluate a participatory intervention designed to enhance health literacy among young adults in Danish school settings. The intervention will focus on health-promoting activities tailored to the specific needs of students aged 15-25, particularly those who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET). By addressing the health literacy needs of these students, the project seeks to reduce social inequalities in health and improve overall health outcomes. The feasibility and effectiveness of this integrated approach will be assessed through direct engagement with the target population.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this project are students aged 15-25 enrolled in participating Danish schools.

Not a fit: Patients who are under 15 or over 25 years of age will not benefit from this intervention.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve health literacy among youth, leading to better health behaviors and outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: While there is limited research on health literacy interventions specifically among youth, similar approaches have shown promise in improving health outcomes in other populations.
