What this trial studies
This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Foot(at)Work intervention, an electronic program designed to enhance nurses' knowledge and practices regarding lower extremity self-care. The intervention includes educational materials such as text, videos, and images aimed at promoting proper footwear selection and overall foot health. Participants' knowledge and health outcomes will be assessed at multiple time points: before the intervention, immediately after, and at one, six, and twelve months post-intervention. The study focuses on nurses working in surgical or internal medicine wards to address their specific lower extremity health needs.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are registered nurses working in specialized healthcare settings, particularly in surgical or internal medicine wards.
Not a fit: Nursing students and those not working in the specified healthcare settings may not benefit from this intervention.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve nurses' lower extremity health and overall well-being.
How similar studies have performed: While similar educational interventions have shown promise in improving health outcomes, this specific approach targeting nurses' foot health is relatively novel.
