What this trial studies

This study investigates how aerobic exercise affects the quality of life and serum levels of trace elements such as Zinc, Copper, and Iron in post-menopausal women who have survived breast cancer and undergone radiotherapy. A total of 28 participants will engage in aerobic exercises three times a week, starting immediately after radiotherapy or within six months to one year post-treatment. The study aims to fill a gap in clinical knowledge regarding the relationship between exercise and trace element levels in this specific population. Previous research has shown benefits of exercise on quality of life in breast cancer survivors, but this study is the first to focus on trace elements.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are post-menopausal women aged 50-60 who have been diagnosed with Stage I or II breast cancer and have completed radiotherapy within the last year.

Not a fit: Patients with chronic systemic diseases, cognitive dysfunction, or those who are professional athletes may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the quality of life and nutritional status of post-menopausal breast cancer survivors through tailored aerobic exercise interventions.

How similar studies have performed: While previous studies have shown positive effects of exercise on quality of life in breast cancer survivors, this specific investigation into trace elements is novel and untested.
