Identifying new blood markers for early detection of ovarian cancer recurrence
New Serum Biomarkers for Monitoring Early Diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer Recurrence Via Analysis of Immunoinflammation-related Protein Complexes in Blood
This study is trying to find new blood markers that can help detect if ovarian cancer comes back in women who have already been treated.

What this trial studies
This observational study utilizes mass spectrometry to analyze immune inflammation-related protein complexes, glycopeptide omics, and tumor-related metabolomics in serum samples from patients with confirmed ovarian epithelial cancer. The study aims to identify potential metabolic small molecule biomarkers or marker profiles that could facilitate the early diagnosis of cancer recurrence. It will enroll at least 50 female patients at various stages of treatment and follow them until clinical relapse is confirmed.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are females diagnosed with epithelial ovarian cancer who are 70 years old or younger.
Not a fit: Patients who are male, have other malignant tumors, or are non-compliant may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to earlier detection of ovarian cancer recurrence, improving patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While this approach is innovative, similar studies have shown promise in identifying biomarkers for cancer recurrence.
