What this trial studies

This observational study evaluates a novel tablet game-based assessment tool designed for young children aged 3 to 8 years. The primary goals are to determine the tool's ability to accurately differentiate neurodevelopmental status based on children's performance and to assess its validity. The study aims to recruit 590 participants, including both typically developing children and those diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Participants will complete the game-based assessment, which evaluates various neuropsychological functions, while parents will provide demographic information.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include children aged 3 to 8 years, both typically developing and those diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Not a fit: Children with medical comorbidities or chronic illnesses that affect their ability to complete the assessment may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this tool could provide a more engaging and accurate method for assessing neurodevelopmental disorders in young children.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have explored game-based assessments, showing promise in engaging children and providing valid results, but this specific approach is relatively novel.
