What this trial studies
This observational study evaluates the quality of life in patients diagnosed with solid pseudopapillary neoplasm (SPN) of the pancreas, focusing on both digestive physiological and social psychological functions. Patients who underwent surgery from 2001 to 2026 at Peking Union Medical College Hospital will complete a series of validated questionnaires to assess their post-operative quality of life. The study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how SPN and surgical intervention impact these patients over time.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients with a confirmed pathological diagnosis of SPN who have undergone surgery and can provide valid questionnaire responses.
Not a fit: Patients who refuse to participate or have incomplete questionnaire results may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the understanding of quality of life issues faced by SPN patients, leading to improved post-operative care and support.
How similar studies have performed: While studies on SPN are limited, this approach to assessing quality of life in a large cohort is novel and has not been extensively tested in previous research.
