What this trial studies

This study investigates the relationship between specific antibodies and the levels of depression and anxiety in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Using the Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale and the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale, researchers will assess the mental health status of participants while measuring the presence of Anti-Ribosomal P Protein, Anti-U1 RNP, Anti-Nucleosome, and Anti-Double Stranded DNA antibodies. The goal is to better understand how these antibodies correlate with mental health issues in SLE patients.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus who meet specific classification criteria.

Not a fit: Patients with autoimmune diseases other than Systemic Lupus Erythematosus may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved mental health management strategies for patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.

How similar studies have performed: While the specific approach of this study may be novel, there is existing literature exploring the relationship between autoimmune diseases and mental health.
