Exploring how healthy individuals communicate through body movements and brain activity

Study of the Dynamics of Verbal and Non-verbal Interaction in Healthy Subjects, Through the Recording of Body Movements and Non-invasive Neurophysiological Techniques

Not applicable Interventional IRCCS Centro Neurolesi Bonino Pulejo · NCT06251479

What this trial studies

This study investigates the neurobehavioral mechanisms behind verbal and non-verbal communication in healthy individuals. By employing non-invasive behavioral and neurophysiological techniques, the research aims to identify the markers that quantify the dynamics of communication. The study will assess how individual differences in interpreting signals affect action performance and how interaction contexts influence brain and muscle activity during communication. The findings could enhance our understanding of social behaviors and their underlying neural processes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy individuals aged between 18 and 55 years.

Not a fit: Patients with epilepsy, cardiac pacemakers, or other specified medical conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide insights into the neural mechanisms of communication, benefiting fields such as psychology, neuroscience, and social sciences.

How similar studies have performed: While the specific approach of this study may be novel, similar studies have shown success in exploring the neural correlates of communication.
