What this trial studies
This study evaluates the performance of a clinical intelligent management system powered by a multimodal foundation model in simulated outpatient scenarios. It compares the AI agent's diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities with those of primary care physicians from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Conducted across multiple centers, the study uses standardized simulated patients to ensure consistency in evaluating the quality of care, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes. The goal is to assess how effectively the AI system can enhance primary care delivery.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include primary care physicians fluent in local languages and simulated patients aged 18 and older who can effectively communicate their symptoms.
Not a fit: Patients who are not fluent in the local languages or unable to use electronic devices may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this could lead to improved diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes in primary care settings worldwide.
How similar studies have performed: While the use of AI in healthcare is gaining traction, this specific approach of comparing AI with multilingual primary care physicians in diverse settings is relatively novel.
