What this trial studies

This study investigates the impact of exercise training on frailty and fall risk in patients suffering from chronic heart failure (CHF). It aims to assess how structured exercise interventions can improve functional capacity and quality of life in individuals with CHF, particularly those classified as symptomatic New York Heart Association (NYHA) class II-III. The study will include patients diagnosed with either heart failure with reduced or preserved ejection fraction and will monitor their progress through the exercise program. The findings could provide insights into non-pharmacological treatments for frailty associated with CHF.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years old with a confirmed diagnosis of chronic heart failure and classified as NYHA class II-III.

Not a fit: Patients with acute myocardial infarction, severe valvular diseases, or those unable to participate in exercise due to neurological or orthopedic limitations may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved management strategies for frailty in chronic heart failure patients, enhancing their quality of life and reducing fall risk.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promising results for exercise interventions in improving outcomes for patients with chronic heart failure, suggesting that this approach is both viable and beneficial.
