What this trial studies

This study evaluates the effectiveness of prehabilitation and rehabilitation exercise programs for patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) who are scheduled to undergo stenting. It aims to improve patients' exercise tolerance and lifestyle factors before the procedure, potentially leading to fewer complications and a quicker recovery. Participants will engage in a structured exercise regimen designed to enhance their overall health and ability to perform daily activities. The study will assess the impact of these interventions on pain management and quality of life post-surgery.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults diagnosed with PAD who experience leg pain while walking and are scheduled for a stent procedure.

Not a fit: Patients who are medically unstable, have had a recent heart attack, or have uncontrolled diabetes may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve recovery outcomes and quality of life for patients with peripheral artery disease.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown that exercise-based rehabilitation can greatly benefit patients with PAD, indicating a promising approach for this intervention.
