What this trial studies
This observational protocol aims to evaluate the outcomes of a monitored group exercise regimen that includes high-load resistance training and functional exercises for individuals who have completed cancer treatment. Participants will engage in a dose escalated resistance training program under close supervision to assess improvements in functional mobility, body composition, and strength. The study will include assessments by exercise personnel to ensure safety and capability for participation. The focus is on understanding how structured exercise can aid recovery in cancer survivors.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are cancer survivors aged 20-89 who are capable of participating in a resistance training program.
Not a fit: Patients with severe arthritic, joint, cardiovascular, or musculoskeletal conditions that hinder exercise may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the physical recovery and quality of life for cancer survivors.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with similar exercise interventions for cancer survivors, indicating a promising approach.
